I took the advice of Mahmood and gave the google translate ( Arabic to English) a tough test!
I got my last blog translated and the outcome was surprising! and here it comes:

Fishing Season is Comming


One of the joys of living in Alsaka is the beautiful nature and wild life. And after a long winter, we get rewarded with a beautiful summer. Along with the summer comes long days, and I mean really long days. The night just shrinks to few hrs and it is sunny again. With the summer comes the salmon and people will line in some places shoulder to shoulder fishing on the rivers. Fishing is fun especially when you actually catch some. Still It would be few wks for season to start and I am getteing my gear ready.

Under the weather

It started with my kids with sore throat and some cough, then it was my dear wife turn. They started to get better and I was sort of happy that I was excluded, or that was I thought. Now I am the only one who has it at home. It does not bother me much that I cough now and then daytime but it when it is bedtime; the cough just takes over. I had few sleepless night as the cough would do its magic. I don't believe much in cough medicines but I finished couple of bottles already. Finally I had to accept my wife time-tested remedy hot milk with ginger. It has been 2 hrs from my last cup and no cough yet..Is it working? Hope so.

النادي و أمن الدولة

نادي الديه هو نادي صغير"مهما تكن الاّلة الضاربة", لكنه تمكن من تحقيق الكثير في السبعينات. فقد عرف عنه تحديه لخطوط ذات الوان مختلفة. فعلى الصعيد الفني قدم عدة مسرحيات لاقت اقبالا جيدا. وقدم عدة حفلات شاركت فيها بنات من القرية مما شكل تحديا لما هو مألوف في قرية تكتظ بالمواتم. كما أصدر دورية بأسم الطريق الجديد بشرت بفكر جديد. ذلك استدعى حرب جيشت فيها الميكروفونات والدعوات في المساجد لمقاطعة النادي والقائمين عليه. وكان القائمين على النادي نشطين لكن أحدا لم ير نشاط لهم في مسجد او ماتم الا في الفواتح. مما أعطى اصحاب الميكروفونات ذخيرة حية. واستمر الصراع الذي أعتمد في مجمله على التنابز بالالقاب.. فأصحاب الميكروفونات أصبحوا رجعيون وأصحاب اشراك المرأة في أنشطة النادي ودعاة ألاختلاط أصبحوا شيوعيون.
وقد أقيمت عدة أنشطة موازية في مسجد الانوري القريب من النادي بصوت عالي جدا عله يغطي على صوت الطبول والزمور القادمة من النادي. ولعلهم كانوا سباقين في مفهوم المؤتمرات والانشطة الموازية التي عرفت فيما بعد, والتي يقوم فيها الجانب الشعبي بنشاط متزامن مع النشاط الرسمي ومخالف له في الطرح. غير انه كلا النشاطين غير رسمي. هذا الوضع خلق تشويشا غير بسيط في القرية, والشباب الذين لم يحزموا أمرهم تعرضوا لضغط غير مسبوق من الجانبين. الحفلة أو المسجد؟ والمشكلة انه لايمكن حضو الاثنين معاُ فالتوقيت واحد.
أستمرالحال بين كر و فر حتي الم بالناس خطب عظيم شغل البلاد والعباد. فقد أغتيل المدني. ولست بصدد الحديث عن تفاصيل الحدث. لكن تداعيات الحدث ألقت بظلها الثقيل على كل بيت, فما أقدم عليه ثلاثة بعد ليلة سكر تحول بقدرة قادر الى خطة لمجموعة أغتيالات واختطاف طائرات ومؤامرات أخرى متنوعة لزعزعة الخليج و طيران الخليج!
و طبق قانون أمن الدولة على من برأتهم المحكمة وعلى من لم يحاكموا أصلاَ, ومن كان خارج البلد في دراسة لم يعد لسنين تلت.
ولاول مرة يطبق قانون أمن الدولة على نادي فاغلقوه بقفل كبير. وظل مغلقا لسنين عديدة. وتحول ملعب الكرة الي مخزن للاخشاب. ثم أعيد فتح النادي بادارة معينة, فكان مسخاٌ! لكن مع السماح بالانتخابات فيه من جديد دبت فيه الحياة وعاد الكر و الفر! الى ان أغلق من جديد ولكن هذه المرة لم تكن الداخلية بل البلدية فقد اّل المبنى للسقوط ولم يعد بالامكان أغفال الحجارة المتساقطة من السقف. وأغلق مرة أخرى بقفل كبير.

في بلد بعيد, و محاط بالثلج وبعيد عن الدفء, دفء الجو ودفء من نشتاق اليهم, يأتي صوت من البحرين أرتاح لسماعه. هذه المرة يأتي من محطة فضائية تبث مسلسلا بحرينيا, لعله بايت بالنسبة لكم لكنني أترقبه كل ليله. وما يثلج الصدر سماع اللهجتين ورؤية التعايش الجميل الذي لم يتلوث بعد بما أدخله أصحاب اللحى الطويلة من أدعية على ألاخر.

عندما بلغ ابني الرابعة أخذناه الى مدرسة خاصة, وكنا متحمسين لحضور اللقاء مع المدرسة في اليوم المفتوح الأول. و كانت مدرسته تونسية.

زالت نظرات الاستغراب وعاد الارتياح على وجهينا, وطمنتها قائلا

• الفريق (الفريج) كله عنده نفس المشكله!

Three Greedy Doctors

It is something we do best. First to deny that there is a problem. And if there isn't one, there is nothing we need to do about it. And this is one thing we love doing; nothing. If denying it did not really work well, then next in line option is to make it look small, trivial and insignificant, so much so it is not worthy of the time or the effort to look into or even mention it. This approach was the one chosen by ministry of health regarding the immigration of Bahraini physicians. In her answer to questions from MPs Dr. Hafad finally acknowledge that 3 greedy doctors lift Ministry of health and immigrated, so it is a small number and they were greedy; case closed. Who need 3 more greedy physician? Well to start with those are not 3, the number is 10, and 4 more on the way. So we have more than 10 greedy physicians. That is another problem. I think we should add anti-greed course to their curriculum in the medical school, a good place would with the ethics. So there is no problem with the ministry of health and the hospital administrators who want those highly specialized physician to work like trainees, no problem with the unhealthy atmosphere. All of that is perfect it is just about the money. The ministry of health admits that it could not recruit a single qualified consultant to work in the ER even with a salary that is close the her Excellency, yet they don't care about losing highly specialized physicians with American boards in much needed specialties. The same "greedy" physicians that the MOH does not care about are being welcomed all over the world. It is hard to work and provide a good service when you are frustrated, not appreciated, not supported and underpaid. Previously the MOH counted on "oh they are Bahrainis, they will never leave, we can humiliate them as much as we want, whenever we want". Will that is not true any more. Bahraini physicians are willing to go as far as Alaska and not be frustrated, humiliated unappreciated and underpaid.

Today's Word:Phishing


I have received several email from service@paypal.com with concerning contents; the first few were asking me to update my acount information by following the provided link. When I clicked on it took me to an exact replica of paypal website asking to login. Subsequent emails from the same source were warning emails claiming that someone tried to have unautherized access to my credit card account registered with paypal and ask me to verify account information to prevent future an autherized access by following the link provided. Again, when I clicked it took me to an exact replica to the credit card website with login page. A third group of emails from the same source claimed that my paypal account was flagged to increase security features and again I need to act quickly and verify/submit my bank account and credit card information to the link provided..
One last one I received from the same source telling me that an email account was added to my paypal account and I need to verify that it belongs to me and the email address was provided, again with a link to what looks exactly like the paypal website..

I does not take a genious to suspect that something is fishy! and smells bad!
I have followed these links provided with my firewall on and never logged on or submitted any personal information to these websites. I called my credit card to make sure that no unautherized trasactions have taken place, I called paypal and as expected they sent me not a single email. The first thing I did was to change my password to a supper password that even I would not figure it out 2 days from now!

These are called phishing emails. And basicaly they trick you to provide them with information that enable them to steal your identity and your money. I thought initially "fishing" emails since I am currently planning my fishing trips for the summer but I was wrong. I learned something new..this time from

A method of identity theft carried out through the creation of a website that seems to represent a legitimate company. The visitors to the site, thinking they are buying something from a real business, submit their personal information to the site. The criminals then use the personal information for their own purposes, or sell the information to other criminal parties.

So be careful..and don't learn the hardway

Leave it to beaver



This is the first time I see a beaver! It is hard to capture this animal with the camera as it dives in pretty quickly and disapears. So this picture is the best I could do. One other thing, when he senses danger he dives in with a big splash to worn other beavers. And it is true they do build dams!d 

Skiing


Winter sports makes a long and cold winter somewhat easier. That is me cruising down and totally in control, well at least till this picture was taken. It is fun especially on a sunny day. 

Fueling


This is a picture that I took while I was on fishing trip. You don't see helicopter fueling in the air everyday. I thought that was cool. 

لم يكن عادلا ولم يعد عقيدا وتوقف عن الهرب

- دكتور.. ضرسي يوجعني

قد تكون تلك عبارة قالها أكثرنا في عيادة ألاسنان ولا يوجد ما هو جديد فيها, ولكن لم يكن الوضع كذلك. فالذي قالها هذه المرة هو من يوجع الاخرين ويتلذذ بسماع صراخهم ويساومهم على الامهم. وعندما أشتكى من وجع الضرس لم يكن في عيادة الاسنان, بل كان في مقر عمله والطبيب لم يكن محاطا بمعداته بل كان معلقا من رجليه الى السقف!
بقى أن نعرف أن الطبيب أطلق سراحه بعد صفقة عقارية انتقلت فيها ملكية أرض من والد الطبيب الى من كان يشكو من وجع الضرس بسعر حدده الاخير!

وصاحب الوجع الذي لم يكن عادلا , لم يعد عقيدا وبالتأكيد توقف عن الهرب.
