There has several bear attacks on garbage containers in Anchorage lately. It seems that Bears preferred the left overs in the garbage alot. Several $110 tickets were issued for home owners who left the garbage outdoor a day earlier attracting bears. There has been 10 bears active around the city. Last year a brown bear visited my son's elementry school (Kincaid elementry). The presence of the bear was anounced in the school and outdoor recess was cancelled. The school principle was looking into calling all the parents to pickup their kids when he got a call form the animal control that the same brown bear was found and captured in the backyard of his house! Next morning the picture of bear posing in the backyard was on the newspaper.

This is very common Hesham. Where I lived in Alaska I used to watch a small brown bear, around 7 foot tall, raid the large dumpster.
It gets dangerous when the bears get used to being around people. I used to see them, and often hear them, when I would go out into the hills, 20 miles from anyone.
Beautiful, but one must be VERY cautious around them. At a short run they are faster than race horses.
Sorry, should be "Abu Hesham."
Abu Sinan,
this is one creature that I don't want to see face to face except in a Zoo! just the fact that it can outrun a race horse is disturbing!
